[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
One thing is pressing the shutter. Another thing and well as much fun of photography to day is the post processing.

Like here, a quite new shot from this weekend, with the right requisites and post treatment and Voila we seems to have an original 1917 market setting.

The place is Trogstad a little village in the farmland some 50 km east of Oslo. The arrangement by The Association of Transport Historic Vehicles.

In this photo you can see an old TT Ford of 1917 (more of this car in my next posting), and between the people in there an old mobile soup kitchen from the army.

Hope you like it as well as I do :-)

Hi Jack,
This is a really approach to a original photo from 1917. The people, the car, enquadrement and capture is in the mood and way. You got the real colour also :))

Very well done and my congratulations!!!
Best regards
Fernando

Hi Jack,
cery good image, it trully looks like something from another time.
Regards
Daniel

Hei Jack,
Excellent view and PP to restitute the feeling of the old days, of course the car and the mobile kitchen are essential elements towards this goal but also the participants too care in not using any mobile phone to spoil the photo, I like the idea and the result very much, congratulations !
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hello Jack

The black & white sepia tone conversion works perfectly here, & imbues an historical ambience. Good work!

Very interesting sepia colors. Good composition.

Hi Jack,
Superbe picture.
The sepia works great here and makes think of a ancient time (with the old car)
Great compo too

Cyril

I like the composition and point of view.Good contrasts, textures, light and sharpness.Good sepia choice.I like the persons.Well done!

Superb use of sepia, Jack! I love the natural moment captured, too. The composition works so well to have the car at right, and the people at left; it creates a nicely balanced shot. Nice work!

The old Ford and the sepia toned B/W creates a nice and historic atmosphere here.Your D70 captured this 1917 scene very well.
Good work!

I like the old appearence of the photograph and the natural way people are acting here. Good composition!

This is a very nice image Jack.. You really got the mood of an old atmosphere at the market.. Apart from those baseball caps who make the image look like an American market... it would feel like a day in 1917 in Norway..

Have a nice holiday in Collioure.. i only wish I could go.

You're right, Jack, the view of the old vehicles in front of the barn has a lot of old-time charm to it, and even if the guys aren't exactly wearing period costumes the scene looks delightfully genuine and old - not least to the skillful post-work. Looking forward to the 1917 TT photo.

Bonsoir Jack,
Le ton sépia est parfait pour donner à cette automobile toute son aura d'antan.
J'aime les voitures anciennes par ce qu'elles dégagent du passé.
Très belle composition.
Philippe

Th sepia couverstion is very well seen for this type of picture. The car and the mobile soup kitchen are very well composed. Bravo!

Yes, I agree with you, Jack. The PP is a joyful part of the digital photography work, and the ue of sepia for making it look old is a very good idea. The only not-ancient items in this shot is the plastic plate and fork, after al plastic was invented a few decades later ;-)
Very good compo and a very good PP.

very nice sepia tone here, it makes it look like it was taken a good fair few years back, well done

Very nice post Jack, wonderful PP with great mood, wonderful composition, very clear, well done, thanks for sharing.

Fantastic once more, i do like this one most. Very well framed and nicly composed.

I like the PP work you've done, and yes, we made us travel back to 1917

Regards,
Mario

This is a very good idea and a excellent PP in black and white.
The framing here is excellent and gives a good idea from this old TT ford.
