Jack,
Your composition is outstanding here with the curving road and walker giving the shot nice direction. The patch of trees on the left side add a good point of interest to the shot. The dark clouds and filtered lighting gives this shot a wintry look and a feel of solitude.

If you ask me what this "winter" was like , I would say : grey and grey - and rainy !!
Your photo radiates the beauty which can be found in overcast skies and bare fields .
I like the dramatic colours which are even more set out by the person in black on the
"never ending road "
A photo with a lot of atmosphere !!

Hello Jack,

Curve of black, paved road, yellow ridges but especially lights... at horizon are eye catching. Excellent way adding a model and also splendid silhouettes of naked trees at hill more contrasted with sky. Congratulations.

Very nicely realised Jack - I love the feel of this image - the figure for me might be just a touch further along the road to cut the skyline a little more but the atmosphere of the image catches me fully anyway. I love the juxtaposition of the trees to the figure - it looks like a place created by human hand and to have the figure there brings out meaning for me.

Hello jack,

This is an inspiring photograph, the crest of the hill beautifully defined by the bare trees, and glow at the horizon. The heavy overcast sky appears to reveal patches of blue behind the cluster of trees. I like very much the composition, colors and resolution.

Hello Jack,

Une vue etonnante dont les couleurs présentent tout en nuances ce décor champêtre. L'image est un peu sombre mais l'opposition entre ce bosquet d'arbre et la partie claire au dessus de la route fonctionne bien. la petit silhouette aurait pu être une peu plus à l'horizon.

the person on the road gives the image an extra mood of mystic or ... maybe even worse(i've got a strange association to Kittelsen)
but it's a nice simple but epic picture with nice ground colors.
