A different approach to this old theme… Photographing the Photographer!

This was a difficult photo for two reasons: I had to photograph almost straight into the sun, and the machine was entirely black!

This fellow in the aircraft is on some kind of photo job, looking for details since the altitude is less than 100 m. The helicopter is the ideal platform for this kind of work, because of the machine’s flexibility of action.

The history of helicopter is long and complex as the principle was first mentioned in 4th-century China, referred to as Pao Phu Tau, and is reported to describe some of the ideas inherent to rotary wing aircraft.
