This is spring, just as the last snow is giving in to the sun…

Back in medieval times they tended to build castles, churches and monasteries on hilltops, some farmers seem to like that idea too!

The architecture of the residential unit on the farm is special to this region (Trøndelag in central Norway) and is named after it as the style is called “trønderlån”: Two stories and a loft, all rooms go from wall to wall, and the house is long rather than wide.

And the traditional red barn of course, that is also typical for the region. That is, you may happen to find red barns elsewhere in Norway but in Trøndelag they are ALL red!

This time I have a technical question for you: I’m testing a plug-in for PS and the result when used on this image is shown in workshop. The usual Q is, which one do you prefer – main post or WS?
