Postcard from Norway
In the short days of December up here in the North - there is some few hours where the light is good also for doing some moody shots from the snow covered landscape.
It was cold yesterday -20C but at least having a look as here one can at least avoid the feel of the low temperature.

Winter beauty well presented. Low soft Nordic light. Fresh snow and wide vista from a higher viewpoint. Very peaceful feeling.

A delightful postcard, as you say!
The gentle colouration, with just a hint of pink in the sky, and the lovely compostion, make this a joy to see. You captured the snow and the shadows very well with your exposure. I can only think of Christmas trees in this excellent photo. Good stitching job, too.

Des couleurs froides et typiquement hivernales ici. La lumière rasante donne une très belle ambiance est les arbres couvert de neige sont superbes ! Bonne idée d'avoir intégré ces quelques maisons.

This is a fine winter postcard! Your light management is great here with nice balance between sun and shadow. Your composition is fine placing the house off center and low in the frame. You should sell this one to Hallmark!

Hello Jack,
Winter as I remember it from when I grew up in Värmland, but haven't seen for years. Quite beautiful really, better than the wet darkness of later days' Stockholm. You have captured very well the slightly red tone on the sky and the snow created by the weak winter's light.

C'est vraiment trés joli avec la douceur de la lumiére sur le paysage enneigé, yes une trés jolie carte postale, mais -20C mes petites mains serais si gelées que je ne pourrais meme pas prendre une photo!!!

The best shot I'v seenn here for days,a great postcard indeed.
I hate winter in my region,only sometimes little snow and allways grey.....
Good composition with the house and the two tall trees at perfect positions.Nice shadows in the foreground and great depth,not to forget the wonderfull light.

It must be a familiar sight for you, but for us here below it looks like a dreamy world. The light gives life to everything so one can feel a happy atmosphere: Santa Claus is coming!

This is indeed a postcard, still better, a Christmas Card — the best winter scene I have seen in years. The fluffy snow the pastel highlights all look inviting, although the -20°C is not. The stitching has been done seamlessly, with a very good choice of vantage points.

Hi, Jack. A good seasonal picture. The trees in the foreground and the house give a very good depth to the image which has a nice 1/3, 2/3 composition.
