I like the smoothness in this shot, the clarity is superb and flawless, only the sky is a bit overexposed, maybe the use of nd filter would be of help, other than that it a great shot and i like your compo too. Well done.

Hei Anders
I feel ashamed to say that I have never been here. There are just so many places of historical significance scattered around Norway that I would like to see (and photograph), but there is always the matter of time...
I particularly like the POV and angle for this photo. It is not the usual angle one would find from Røros and I find that very interesting.
my overall impression is quite good, maybe slightly dark but then again the slight underexposure makes sure that the features of the sky and teh clouds are visible.
Thank you for sharing.
Odd Jarle
Ah, so we are neighbours today! Yes, the two shots are quite different in lighting and moods, not to mention the subject matter. But your dark shot suits the industrial landscape. I think the only way to prevent that over-exposure in the sky is to use a strong Grad ND filter on your camera. PP can't always bring into the white bits what was not there in the original, and you often finish up with the tops of the buildings being dark. I know, because I tried it many times! But in spite of the big white area the picture looks very good, and has an atmosphere of foreboding and suggests the hard history you mentioned in the note.
Regards,
Andrew
Hi, my friend!
Long time... I like very much your view. Nice composition and good strong colours. I like your all architecture and all nature. Well done.

Ciao Anders,
a wonderful composition, with some beautiful colours and a special light. seems lightly overexposed in the high sky part, but bother not..
good job

Hello Anders,
You have placed Bergstadens Zir nicely in the frame!
And this is about the only position where you can get a fine shot of the church from, this and the traditional one with Hyttklokka from all the postcards...
Seems like you had threatening weather while you were in Røros, myself I remember the summer of '06 as the one with sunshine every day!
Greetings,

Hej Anders,
Dark clouds over this dark old town and also an interesting note of Scandinavian history. I didn´t know of De La Barre, but Armfeldt is of course well known. He travelled very comfortably over the mountain, in full snow storm, in a sled filled with pelts of wolf, while all his soldiers frooze to death. They still haunt the mountain here, I´ve heard...

Anders,
A very dramatic sky. A well choosen spot to uplighten a bit, emphatising on the copper tone on the ground. Also in this photo there is a great display of theese wooden elements.
Rörås i s certanly on the wish list.
Ha de!

Hej Anders,
another great shot of this strange town. Once more well executed composition. I don't care about the overexposure on the sky. What matters here is this interesting atmosphere. Well done!

Carlos

Hello Anders,
Nice photo, i like the pov choice with the soil at the foreground and the changing colors before the town buildings. The color treatment and sharpness are great, and yes the sky is a little overexposed but that also provided a better light for the scene :)
Congratulations, Regards,
Daniel

hej Anders,
so, you know about the overexposed sky, which means I can leave it out of my comment :) but I do like the drama added by the dark clouds, I find it goes well with the part of your note about the hard-tested miners. the rust brown colours are great, I particularly like the orange colour accents. the composition is clearly is well thought through with the strong foreground and church tower just in the right place. very nice work, and thanks for the informative note.
regards,
Kristine

Hi Anders,
The effect of the clouds, the drastic and dramatic effect is well reflected with the dark colors. Nice sharpness.
Best regards. Salvator.
