On the coast where the Oslofjord starts to get wide and opens into Skagerrak we found this beautiful and quiet place close to the small village Portør. After two weeks of hiking in the mountains this was a nice contrast - the open sea! Still you see the remains of the glaciers that nowadays lie somewhere hidden deep in the valleys in the middle of the country. The rocks are grinded and smoothed .

Nice colorful picture with a lot of contrast. I am going to Beitostolen in a week and I hope to see a lot of this!

Hello Andreas,

A beautiful scene from what we call Sørlandskysten!
The rocks polished by water through thousands and thousands of years, with small spots of vegetation in between...
A well balanced composition, where the cotton grass in front goes well with the cotton-like summer clouds!
