Photographer's Note

When I have something new, I am impatient to show it. A short break from my China series.

The name of September in Polish language is wrzesień (try to pronounce it, haha) that means the month of heather.
Calluna vulgaris (known as common heather, ling, or simply heather) is a low-growing perennial shrub growing to 20 to 50 centimetres and is found widely in Europe and Asia Minor on acidic soils in open sunny situations and in moderate shade. It is the dominant plant in most heathland and moorland in Europe, and in some bog vegetation and acidic pine and oak woodland. It is tolerant of grazing and regenerates following occasional burning, and is often managed in nature reserves and grouse moors by sheep or cattle grazing, and also by light burning.

I have read that the big moorland is not far from Warsaw, so yesterday I went to see it. It was a delightful walking.

Bigger beta picture

Here the heather is better visible and there is a path but the sky is not attractive. One can't have all :(.
