Photographer's Note
Monastery chapel.
Komancza is a village in the Sanok County, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship (province) of south-eastern Poland. It is situated in the Bukowsko Upland mountains, located near the towns of Medzilaborce and Palota (in northeastern Slovakia). On the sidelines of the village is The Monastery of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, which was the place of internment of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski from October 27, 1955 to October 28, 1956, that is, as the sisters say: "The arrival announcement came on the Feast of Christ the King and the trip took place a year later." Here, on May 16, 1956, on the Feast of Andrzej Bobola, he wrote the Polish text of the Jasna Gora Wedding of the Polish Nation in 1955-1956. The room in which the cardinal lived is made available to the public. The village was first mentioned in historical records in 1512 as Crziemyenna, and in 1524 as Komancza. In 1785, the village lands comprised 8.93 km2 , with a population of 450 Greek Catholics, 16 Roman Catholics, and 15 Jews. After World War I, the village was the site of the ephemeral Komancza Republic (November 1918 – January 1919). In 1936, the Greek Catholics (Uniates) population increased to 878. In 1945 the Ukrainian parish priest, Orest Venhrynovych, was murdered by the Poles, and in 1946 the village was burned down during border disputes with Ukraine when many local citizens were forcibly deported to the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Others were removed from Komancza on 29 April 1947 as part of Operation Vistula and moved to the Silesian area of Poland.

Bonjour, cher Christophe,
Alors là, je suis sous le charme de cette prise rendant hommage à une chapelle.
La présence d'une religieuse est un plus à la composition.
Quant aux vitraux, c'est superbe !
Amitiés.

Hello Krzysztof,
It's a very nice photo with great symmetry and perfectly managed light. The symmetry is broken mainly by the praying nun, who makes a very good contribution to the composition. She means a lot for the atmosphere of the chapel. The two stained glass windows are very beautiful.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Krzysztof,
I am impressed with the stained glass windows which can be exceptionally difficult to get correctly exposed sometimes. The kneeling nun adds place and context to the chapel. Tfs!

Hi Krzysztof
I love the fact that at glance, the stained glass panels grabs the eye instantly as a delightful strong point there. Another of your cuppa, excellent detail in depth and pleasing brightness level while the prayer ensures the eye is firmly glued there. A very careful planning as as far as compo is concerned yielding a grand capture as shown. Superb grab, Congrats
Best regards

Hi Krzysztof,
The chapel is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the interior of the chapel. The surrounding light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Krzysztof,
Il est assez rare de voir une photo de chapelle tandis que quelqu'un est en prière. La soeur est parfaitement placée dans le cadre et la gestion de la lumière est parfaite.
Amicalement

Hello Krzysztof,
This is one of the rare times when I see a chapel with a person. It looks like she is enjoying the stained glass windows, just like I am. Usually stained glass windows are washed out in interior photos, you did a nice job with light management, congratulations.
Regards,
MT
