Photographer's Note

The Market Square, Wroclaw is a medieval market square, now the heart of a pedestrian zone. The square is rectangular with the dimensions 205 x 175m.
The buildings around the square are built according to different styles.
Eleven streets lead to the market: two to each corner, two narrow lanes and an opened out side square, Kurzy Targ ("Chicken Market").
There are now 60 numbered plots on the market square. Each property has a traditional name, usually associated with the coat of arms visible on the facade or related to the history of the house itself, for instance Under the Griffins, Under the Blue Sun and Old Town Hall.

Hello Ryszard - These fine tenement houses deserve to be photographed, they are so elegant and transport one back to a bygone age. I like the square format with the fringe of people walking along the FG. The colour seems a little 'off' with a slight yellow cast. I have done a very quick WS, see what you think - the colours look a little cleaner. Warm regards rosemary

an eye-catching shot of these fine old buildings. So colourful and beautifully detailed. A mixture of old and new, with "Starbucks" getting everwhere in the world now as well as a fair few communication elements crowding the skyline. Executed and presented perfectly.

these tenement houses reminds me of dluga ulica in Gdansk.
I like this colourful row of detailful facades. by the way it's amazing how this city was rebuilt after the siege of red army during II WW

When this scene is full investigated, we see alot of interesting subjects.
For example, i love the tall arched door on the green building.
another key point are the satelite dishes - a sign of modern influence.
I also like the symmetry of 4 windows on the right and left, followed by 3 in the middle - its very balanced.
