Photographer's Note

The church of St. Wojciech is one of the oldest Gothic churches in Wroclaw, at the beginning of the twelfth century the first Romanesque church was built in this site and since 1226 the church belonged to the Order of the Dominicans.
It was destroyed during the Mongol invasion and in 1250 rebuilt in the Gothic style.
During the World War II the church was heavily damaged and in 1953-1955 rebuilt.
The church is located in the center of the city and is often visited by tourists looking for shade and coolness on hot days.
