Istebna - cottage built in 1863.

Istebna is a large village and the seat of Gmina Istebna, Cieszyn County in Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. The village is situated in the Silesian Beskids mountain range, near to the borders with the Czech Republic and Slovakia, in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. The Olza River flows through the village. (wiki)

Juz mialem kliknac na inne zdjecie w Twojej galerii gdy dostrzeglem to urodzinowe!
Niesamowite osiagniecie.
Tyle lat i tyle zdjec!
Przede wszystkim jednak nie tylko ilosc ale jakosc wspaniala.
Bardzo sie ciesze ze mialem okazje osoabiscie spotkac jednego z najwazniejszych czlonkow TrekEarth!

Okno to swietny wybor, kazdy kto cie troche zna doskonale pamieta Twoje okna.
To w drewnianej chacie jest stare stylowe i pokazuje ciekawe odbicie.

PS Moze w przyszlym roku znowu uda sie spotkac, powinienem byc w Polsce mniej wiecej w tym samym czasie...

Hello Krzysztof,
Congratulations on being so long on the site. You have seen its growth, peak and decline. You are among the few really active and dedicated members left. It's natural you chose a window for this jubilee post. And this is a real beauty with its irregularly sized panes, the faded paint and the rough texture of the wooden wall. I see you made a self-portrait to celebrate this day. ;-)

Congratulations for you longevity on TE.
It doesn't surprise me that you have chosen this photograph yo commemorate the event, for this is your favourite subject and is a fine example of that subject!
The wooden window is well placed in the frame, shows a sharp exposure and the textures are almost palpable.

Congratulations on your 15 years with TE! The reflected blue skylight in the window contrasts well with the red tinted wooden cottage. Good sharpness and a superb angled view with effective tight framing and no wasted space. Tfs!

Hello Krzysztof, so is that your shadow in the bottom right hand corner?
Windows such as this have a particular charm, and are just as beautiful as those in much grander buildings, in my opinion.
Is that straw pushed in between the pieces of wood? Presumably for insulation.
