Photographer's Note

Swieradow Zdroj, a spa town in the Izera Mountains, has the characteristics of a highland resort with a mountainous climate.
Apart from the climate, basic elements used therapeutically are the natural mineral waters and the therapeutic mud rich in carbonates, calcium and magnesium fluoride. Unique to this area are the presence of radon rich waters.
The first mention of Swieradow appeared in 1524 when were discovered mineral waters, the health resort started to develop in 1768 when the owners of land built the first spa house.
Swieradow-Zdroj is typically oriented tourist resort geared towards patients and skiers. In summer there are thousands patients and in winter It is literally invaded by skiers.
In my photo you can see one of luxury hotels, built in 1901.
