Photographer’s Note
This photo is taken in Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former Nazi camp, so called graveyard of nations... This place has a very sad history, which everyone knows a little bit about. I don't want to repeat it, but just want to give one impression of it, if I can...
As you walk through these camps you can hear voices from the ground and feel their sorrow...
This is a cropped, contrasted and framed BW version of a color one. The original version is in WS. Both of them are scanned.

Great photo. I think the B&W effect suits the image more. It gives a ghostly feeling to it. Great image that always serves as a reminder.

I agree with the ghostly feel comment. Very powerful image and the PP work you've done on this is perfect. Well done.

It is classic showing of this subject. I remember such a photo from the textbook of history. I like him such aging of the photo.
See my photos from Poland. :-)

Hi Pinar,
the b/w fits the place much better. It conveys the tragedy of this place with more power. So I like the choice of converting. I wish you didnt crop. The original uncropped photo gives more of a feeling of depth and more immensity to the photo.

Hi Pinar, the image is too small, and have some focus problems, but all that, with also the incrased contrast, gave more dramticity to that sad image.
good POV and a beautiful persepctiv.
a good shot of an horrible place.
thanks, ciao

Hey Pinar,
This leaves a good impression of what a horrible place this was. The frame has a good POV with a vanishing point, I also think it is cropped to allow the things of interest to be centre of attention. But maybe a little too small (maybe could have been 700Pxl?) and a little washed out. All good though.
Thanks!!
