An unobstructed sea view Photo

Photographer’s Note

Ponta do Sol is a small village reputed to be the sunniest point of the island (hence its name, Point of the Sun). That day, though, the sun was apparently on vacation ! The small restaurant perched atop the rocky cliff overlooks the sea and is a nice place to eat or have a drink, specially when you have the opportunity to watch the sun setting over the sea.

Ponta do Sol est un petit village réputé pour avoir le plus d’ensoleillement de toute l’île (d’où son nom, Pointe du Soleil). Ce jour-là, pourtant, le Soleil était apparemment en vacances ! Le petit restaurant perché en haut de la falaise, surplombe la mer, et se révèle un endroit chouette pour manger ou boire un coup, surtout quand l’occasion vous est donnée de voir le coucher de Soleil.

What a wonderful location I reckon James Bond has not seen this place yet! Great POW,I love the imposing rock, maybe it could have had a bit more clarity.

I get goosebumps just looking at that! Have you noticed there is no extra structual support underneath the patio? yikes!

as for the photo itself, the hillside has alot of clarity and definition.
and there is good sharpness seen in the tiles on the rooftop

le soleil était peut-être absent,l'endroit n'en est pas moins impressionant!J'irais bien profiter de ce petit restaurant,même si j'ai l'impression que la vue que tu nous montres est encore plus belle que celle qu'on a lorsqu'on est installé sur la minuscule terrasse!Le fait qu'il n'y ait pas de soleil,donne à la photo une grande douceur,et c'est très agréable à regarder!

O restaurante é realmente maraviolhoso mas não sei se teria coragem de ficar muito tempo nessa varanda. A vista deve ser deslumbrante mas a altura me incomoda um pouco. Linda imagem, parabéns!

I like very much this simple but neat and appealing composition. This small restaurant is really so smart and intriguing and it makes me feel like dining there!
There is a good sense of perspectve and the image is very clear and sharp.

Bien cadré ce perchoir avec cette bonne présentation en format vertical, depuis la terrasse la vue doit être impressionnante mais il ne faut pas être sujet aux vertiges !

Bonjour Christian.
Your POV is good because it's seen from below the house. You show that it's a long way down to the sea. You also include a bit of the road, which makes it look even more special and maybe dangerous place.
