Photographer’s Note

Monsanto es una aldea de Portugal de la region de Beira.

Perteneciente a las "Aldeias históricas de Portugal" fue considerado como el pueblo mas portugues, su encanto medieval lo hace irrepetible, perderse por su calles laberinticas y subir a lo alto a contemplar la vista desde su castillo es una autentica experiencia.

Monsanto esta enclavado en la vertiente de una pequeña pero esxcarpada montaña, carasterizada por grandes moles de granito que muchas veces forman parte de las viviendas. En lo alto del monte asentado en moles graniticas se encuentra el imponente castillo de Monsanto ahora ya en estado de ruina, pero que aun conserva bien su muralla, patio de armas y torreones.

Belonging to the "Historic Villages of Portugal" was considered the most Portuguese people, their medieval charm makes it unique, missing by his labyrinthine streets and climb to the top to contemplate the view from his castle is an authentic experience.

We are close to the gallery now,so I took the chance to visit your photo..
simple but interesting scene from the village
Monsanto in Portugal,in the region of Beira.
I like the historic villages and this one
must be one of them..Photo with lightness,

Hi,
I definitely like the strong colors in this one and the composition is good as well. I might have tried to fill the left part of the picture with the building as well though. Now it just looks a tad empty although it works that way as well.

A grand view from the top! I would like to live in this house very much, and I would have a camera set up on a tripod waiting for any shot of whatever happens before or beneath me from the heights. I especially like the image in the workshop of the city's street, a very clean, and warm street with all the warm colors and plants. A city that I have heard of before, Monsanto.

Hola Charo,

Light is powerful in your perfectly captured photo. I like splendid details on stone facade and contrasts of terracotta roof tiles with sky and stones. "Human" size of scale is easily recognizable with balcony and window frames that makes your photo more beautiful. The narrow alley full with stone on walls and as a cobblestone is very interesting in your workshop also the next one including giant rock and blossomed tree. Wonderful, congratulations. Belle prise de vue et magnifique maison de pierres. La vue doit être superbe de la haut. C'était jour de lavage à ce que je vois. La qualité d'image est excellente et j'aime beaucoup le beau contraste de couleurs. Intéressante note aussi.

Hola amiga Charo,
pues sí que es una arquitectura tradicional, sencilla, robusta y atractiva.
La calidad de la imagen nos deja ver todos los detalles constructivos y decorativos de esta casa, que se recorta muy estéticamente sobre el cielo azul.
Buen encuadre asimétrico, en el que dejas un espacio para ver el paisaje, lo que siempre se agradece y da un buen resultado.

belle photo de cette maison a la très jolie architecture, aux jolies couleurs, bonne netteté de l' ensemble.
La vue de la haut est jolie et attirente.

This is a nice shot of this stone building. The angle of the shot gives the scene a nice sense of depth and direction. The deep blue sky provides a great backdrop for the scene. The rail provides a good lead in for the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Sencilla, bien captada, buenos colores y definicion. La localizacion de la casa de piedra nos permite disfrutar del valle el cual crea en tu foto un efecto de profundidad.

Hi Charo,
a veery unique and special shot of this building. The sky is so great and very dramatic i like the splashes of white cloud there.
Superbs clarity and the texture of the wall really make this presentation an outstanding one.
