Un auténtico pueblo portugués construido entre gigantescas rocas.

Monsanto, un antiguo pueblo fortificado que se alza sobre la ladera de una montaña. Con las casas encajonadas entre gigantescas rocas, se trata de una impresionante vista.

En 1938 Monsanto fue votado "el pueblo más portugués de Portugal" en un concurso nacional, y desde entonces las restricciones de construcción han permitido que siga siendo un museo viviente.

No es fácil llegar a Monsanto por el transporte público, pero su atmósfera y el inmenso panorama vale la pena una unidad de los pueblos cercanos o Serra da Estrela.

Junto al castillo se hallan las ruinas de esta iglesia románica, hoy en ruinas.

An authentic Portuguese people constructed between gigantic rocks.

Monsanto, an ancient fortified people that rises on the hillside of a mountain. With the houses boxed between gigantic rocks, it is a question of an impressive sight.
In 1938 Monsanto was voted for the most Portuguese " village of Portugal " in a national contest, and since then the restrictions of construction have allowed that it should keep on being a living museum.

It is not easy to come to Monsanto for the public transport, but his ambience and the immense panorama is worth while a unit of the nearby peoples or Serra da Estrela.

Along with the castle there are the ruins of this Romanesque church, today in ruins.

Grande Monsanto. 5 estrelas , dá para fazer grandes fotos. Uma igreja muito bonita toda em pedra e secular é pena que não tenha telhado.

The light on the church is superb. I really like the layers of cloud in the BG which helps to enhance the stone work.

Bonjour Charo,
Avec le ciel chargé, l'architecture et les pierres patinées, on pourrait presque se croire en Bretagne et non dans le plus Portugais des villages Portugais. Très belle réalisation et bonne gestion de l'exposition.

Una preciosa foto de la pequeña iglesia la cual tiene una extraordinaria belleza en su arquitectura, tiene muy buena iluminacion del sol en la fachada la cual se realza por el día gris con las nubes de tormenta. la localizaste muy bien en la foto.

Vejo que visitaste Monsanto, uma aldeia muito bonita!
Estas ruinas são óptimas para fotos e escolheste um óptimo pov.O sol está muito bom, especialmente com aquele céu negro atrás - dá-lhe uma atmosfera muito misteriosa.Boa foto!
