Photographer's Note

It's already proved that the Region of Carregal do Sal was much inabited during Pre-history, maybe because it's situated near the Mondego River. Lots of monuments have been already found there and there are works and studies on course to study and preserve these monuments. So far, three different routes have already been created, each one with several kilometres (through the fields) and including several monuments to visit (all of them with information and very well signed). One of those monuments is this dolmen. It's one of the biggest in the area and it's very original because a long time ago it has been included in a house which has been inhabited till last century. The entrance is on the left side. In the room we have the dolmen that seems to have been used as a kitchen and if we look in front, there's an entrance to other room of the house. This dolmen and the other one I've posted before with the corridor are included in the same route.
