I don't know what happened in your country but in the UK when there was a European "wheat mountain" in the 80s, British farmers were actually paid to reduce crops grown and "set aside" fields for other use. Now looks what's happened. There is a world shortage!
You had good light here giving wonderful colour tones. Your low POV works very well to emphasise the perspective lines of the image.

Olá Rui,
O enquadramento, luminosidade e cores estão magníficos. Este é o tipo de foto que persigo frequentemente (ou que gostaria de perseguir :-), mas que raramente consigo alcançar. Apesar do contraste algo forte, não noto nenhum exagero e a exposição é notável em todas as zonas. Imagino que a nota algo enigmática contribua para o efeito, mas sinto uma grande carga dramática.
Parabéns, é uma imagem impressionante.

The way you framed the fence makes an excellent focal point, I also like the contrast of the red soil and the blue sky. I like the point you make about fences and politics; we all inhabit the same earth and affect each other.

Um verdadeiro campo alentejano em pleno verão. Gosto deste pov e da forma como a cerca surge, quase como uma prisão. Bem adequada à nota e as cores estão muito boas!

Gosto da perspectiva de visão baixa junto à cerca. O céu escuro oferece lindo contraste para o ouro do campo, criando uma atmosphére um pouco surreal. Bela fotografia, com excelente contraste!

Absolutely stunning photo, with a message. The funny thing is, that it reminds me so much of the southwestern US. I looked at this and immediately thought of what American's dubbed the "Spaghetti Westerns" - the Western films made in Southern Europe with music by Enio Morecone. The Southwest too has fences that look just like this, for just the same reason. Very nice idea, and an excellent use of TE!
