Evidentemente, alguns grafiteros são grandes artistas e que, por vezes adornar um velho abandonado parede dando-lhe uma aparência melhor.

As I said before, perhaps the boundary between vandalism and art is when the graffiti is or becomes called mural. I guess this photo and especially the WS is a good example. And you wrote: the same mural painting together with the surrounding graffiti.
In the WS I could (maybe I don't) call the surrounding graffiti as art; if so, it's very low rate art, for my own taste.
Anyway, even the Old Man picture may be called vandalism by the wall owner if he doesn't like the picture or prefer the wall blank.

O velhote até ficou bem engraçado. Gosto deste. Não sei se o dono do muro achará tanta graça, mas é uma ideia engraçada. Não tarda muito deve estar tapado pelas plantas.Bem captado!

An interesting series about these street graffiti... And you found a nice one here! I lke how it is framed on the side by some tagging, and on top by plants, which also adds color and texture...

Claro que é arte, António :) Eu acho que está bem giro e até a vegetação verde em cima combina bem. Percebo as tuas preocupações e até sou capaz de aceitar as regras que referes. Eu nunca seria capaz de o fazer, mas tenho tendência a ser benevolente com este tipo de expressão pública espontânea, mesmo sem autorização e como tal, ser considerada vandalismo. Afinal sou um Português que vive num país de brandos costumes e não na Austrália ;-)
Até o que está ao lado do velho, sou capaz de aceitar dependendo da zona onde se insere, apesar de ser de pior qualidade como é óbvio.

Para mim que gosto de pintar com aerografo isto é uma arte , vandalismo e pintar paredes cheias de letras e traços, penso que devia haver lugares próprios para este tipo de arte ,gostei muito das cores ,bom enquadramento da foto , parabéns !!!

thank you for continuing your series on Graffiti. Studying the mural painting together with the surrounding I would like to use the German expression "Gesamtkunstwerk" concerning the graffiti on this ugly wall and the rubbish on the path. I really like this discussion and I appreciate your message (although I do not share it)!

A very sophisticated "graphiti", And I note the diffrent shades of grey and white necessary to make the portrait. This one has been carefully planed before beeing painted.

Como disse no post anterior, aqui parece-me que se calhar o local fica melhor com pinturas do que sem elas, principalmente se for daqueles sítios onde estão dezenas de anos sem pintar os muros. Mas isto aplica-se principalmente ao velho em si, não acho piada nenhuma os "hieróglifos" de lado.

ficou bem legal este pov com os ramos verdes acima da cabeça do velhote fumador. as barras laterais cobertas de signos de grafite adicionam mais encanto à compo, bela luz e cores
