Photographer’s Note

Sta. Rita beach is located a few kilometers north of Sta. Cruz and just before Porto Novo.
This beach its still somekind of a wild beach because there aren´t many construtions along the shoreline and so it isn´t a crowded place (only in summer peaks...).
I went there for a afternoon coffee with some friends at a nice coffeeshop with a splendid seaside view, when the sun started to fall they went home and i went to the shoreline for some photos.
It was a windy and very cold end of day, and i think i might be a little cold due to that exposure to low temperature.

Excellent shot! I like the very low light, which is just enough to light up the beach and the rocks. Very dramatic appearance with those clouds, and they seem to be balanced by the big rock at the bottom of the frame. Well done!

such magic light you'v found at the beach this afternoonand you manage to frame it with out having the sun in picture and keeping the wonderful color scheme with nice softness and good sharpness in details in the FG.

Olá Daniel,
Pelos vistos tenho andado distraído com os teus últimos posts fantásticos. Esta está fabulosa. A luz e o céu carregado acentua o dramatismo e grande impacto visual das rochas e do mar revolto. O tempo de exposição está perfeito, produzindo um certo "flu" na água , mas deixando perceber as ondas. Boa utilização do filtro ND, excelente compo.
