The new Hotel of the Nations Park being built in front of Tagus River

Parque das Nações (Park of Nations) is situated in the Northeastern side of the town of Lisboa next to the Tagus estuary, Parque das Nações (Nations Park) is almost an “urban centre inside an urban centre“: it is an extensive leisure, commercial and residential area.
Formerly used for mainly industrial purposes, this area underwent a tremendous transformation in the 1990s when it was chosen as the location for the Expo '98 World Exhibition. After the exhibition, the area got its current name (although it is often called “Expo”), and more transformations occurred such as the new Vasco da Gama shopping mall, the Lisbon's International Fair complex, hotels and many new office and residential buildings.
Many attractions built for the Expo '98 remained and keep drawing visitors, such as the Lisboa Oceanarium, one of the world's biggest aquariums or the Knowledge Pavilion, a science and technology interactive centre which regularly presents a series of different exhibitions, and of course, the well-known Cable Car ride that offers the widest and most spectacular view of Parque das Nações and the Tagus River, covering a distance of over 1-km. Nevertheless, this is a very pleasant urban area often chosen just to take a walk, a meeting, a bike-ride, a meal in one of the huge and diversified Restaurant's offer, a drink in one of the many international Bars or to stress out dancing in one of the trendy Night clubs of Lisboa.
The great variety of public transportations, and fantastic road access and parking facilitate the large affluence of visitors to this fascinating new area of Lisboa, often referred to as the 21st century Lisboa.

Voilà une image très intéressante. L'effet de perspective est parfaitement rendu. Ces cabines suspendues sont très originales.
L'ensemble bénéficie d'une très belle lumière.

muito bonita mesmo essa presentação do novo Hotel, achei interessante esse teleférico também, aprece o mesmo que o Paulo mostrou dias atrás. As cores ficaram bem agradáveis também na composição.

this is a very interesting place, combining a bridge that you always get right, with the cable car that is unusual over water. you captured both very well with good depth and perspective and very nice light and colours

O Parque das Nações parece inesgotável! O formato foi bem escolhido. Gosto do teleférico em diagonal e as duas pontes à direita e o hotel em construção ao fundo. A composição está muito boa e a luz também (isto é mesmo para gente madrugadora:))!

Ola Aires, I have been meaning to critique this photo. The luminosity and perspective are spectacular. You have used the vertical frame to excellent effect, the iconi bridge in the BG creates further graphism. This is a wonderful shot that you should be so proud of. Congratulations, Lisa
