Photographer’s Note
It's been a while since my last post featuring these trees (Quercus suber) that are so characteristic of the South of Portugal (actually it is quite common in most of the Iberian Peninsula except for the Northernmost regions).
I am too lazy today for writing or even copying a note about this tree, so I'll just point you the link to my first post on the subject, which incidentally is also one of my oldest posts in TE.
WS: another cork oak.
Have a nice weekend!

ricardo

I like both images Jose. I love the dark clouds behind the one in the WS, but this is such an unusual and unique POV. Did you bring your step-ladders? ;D High PsOV are usual for wide vistas, but for such a close subject I can't remember seeing many images. I assume there was a handy rock to suit your purpose. The composition is good with excellent balance between the dead and alive trees and the paths allow our eyes to wander around the frame. Both images are incredibly detailed.
No need to apologise for lack of a detailed note when you have already covered the information elsewhere. A link is sufficient and is what I do all the time and don't consider it a lazy option.

Hi Jose. Nice capture. I like the life-death contrast. Good sharpness and colour. Unusual POV for tree photography makes for an eye catching image. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good Sunday, Paul.

Ola Jose,
I found WS1 more attractive than this one due to the fantastic clouds in BG.You captured nice contrast between the dead and the alive tree. What I know is that you're not lazy , the link is enough for us:)
Warm regards&have a nice weekend,

Hi Jose,
The soft sweeping line of the (path?) leads me through the photo, and the sharpness is impeccable. Coupled with that the splashes of green throughout the shot are great, almost like it was made or you to take a photo of! Really well seen and composed, and fine effort!

Jean-Charles

Bom dia José,
An excellent "eye". A strange, very grafic place well collected. A composition very well balanced, a POV well selected which gives an interetsing prospect effect. I like this way which turn and wigh guides the glance;
A good and beautiful photowork.

Hi Jose, Sometimes simplicity works & here with the dead tree in the foreground it creates a very good focal point, great sharpness & I love the way the path snakes through the photo, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Hello José,
I see you took this image last year on June 10 (which is incidentally my birthday). The star of the image is the old and healthy cork oak on the top right. I looked at the image you posted two years ago, replete with a very good note. I remember that post well. Thank you again, for the dedication of the Leonardo Ornithopter. It appears that we can no longer go back and award points for image we critiqued before, but could not award points.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Frankly speaking, comparing to many other beautiful photos of yours, this is a modest one. I don't know what's missing, but if you could have used a different PoV it would be much better maybe. The one in the WS is more elegant, since it allows us to have an idea of the environment. With warm regards, Tolga
