This is a kind of mythical place for many enthusiasts of horses in Portugal, because it is the stud farm where the Portuguese horse breed "Alter Real" was originated. As far as my limited knowledge on horses goes, it is still the place where most of the best horses of that breed are created, but I believe they also create Lusitano, another Portuguese horse breed closely related to Alter Real.

It's a a big farm owned by a government foundation dedicated to the creation of horses and other things related with them. Its history had many ups and downs since its establishment as Royal stud farm in 1748, but it seems to be in good shape nowadays.

The image is a stitch of 8 shots taken hand held. I think it covers almost 270 degrees.
