Photographer’s Note
As you can see from my uploads, my vacation time in Portugal was very rich in extreme experiences ranging from a gay beach to the sanctuary of Fatima but believe me this is just the beginning...
Fatima is a very interesting place. There are crowds of believers arriving here every day from the whole Europe. As you can imagine this may heavily impact the traffic. We were lucky to participate in the prayer at 21.30 which is very atmospheric due to candles which people bring with themselves.
You can read about Fatima’s history here. I will just mention that in 1917 three children had multiple visions of St Mary here. The children were so convincing that on the October 13th they were able to assemble a crowd of 70,000 people in this place, many of which had a vision called the Miracle of the Sun. Some people saw it other didn’t, it is certainly pity that they did not have digital cameras at that time.
This shot taken at a sunset light is my personal interpretation of how beautiful the colors may have been at that famous evening. Of course this pretty basilica was built much later and now it hosts the tombs of those 3 children.

Z przyjemnościa oglądam Twoja relacje, bo to znane mi miejsca.
Pozdrawiam

Hello Mariusz,
A curious place it is, for believers and non-believers. And catched here in beautiful soft side light that creates a wonderful play of light and shadows.

Hi Mariusz. You caught a beautiful light here and made a very nice composition. I was there several times and never saw the sanctuary 'without' people. Have you erased them? :) It's really a shame that only two foreigners (you and Mikolaj) put Fátima in the right place. Shame on us (portuguese) and thank you. BEst regards. Paulo

Hi Mariusz,
You did a great and original use of the columns as a frame. Great architecture of the further sanctuary building. The light is very interesting and the contrasts are excellent too. A good work!

Like everyone else a well designed and wonderful golden lighting, with the column arch leading the eye towards the cathedral.
Good job,
