The Pavilion of Portugal (Portuguese: Pavilhão de Portugal) in Expo'98, situated in Parque das Nações in Lisbon, Portugal was the building which sheltered the Portuguese national representation in that event, being erected until today.

The project was developed by the Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza with the contribution of Souto de Moura. The building has, for entrance area, an ample square covered by an imponent visor of concrete.

The program destined it the decurrent period to Expo'98, being an incognito the future use. The proposals already had been several, since the use of the space for the Headquarters of the Cabinet, until the creation of an architecture museum . However, it is still used for provisory expositions.

Wonderful colour combination and perfect balance between the light from the sunset and the artificial light on the pavilion.

The silhouette of the couple is a cool detail that have a great impact and fits perfectly in your composition in the right spot.

What an impressive shot !
The light management is a real lesson of photography ;o)
The combination of the natural pink coulours of sunset and the artificial turquoise light is just marvelous.
So "girly" !

Obviously, the silhouette of the two persons standing out against the sky is a great bonus to catch the attention.

Simply wonderful colours and it certainly does look like a romantic place with a nice atmosphere. I love the way the view is framed by the blue lit building, and the tiny silhouettes of the cable cars and the two people are great elements.

I have to say that you are doing an excellent job promoting your country. I really had no idea of all the many beauties it has to offer and I'm really thinking on planning my next trip (for next year)
this shot is great with a perfect exposure to capture the mood of the early morning. the colours in the sky is great and the amount of details in the shot are perfectly sharp

Manual exposure is always about exposure compensation and i see that youve controlled the mechanics of the camera very well to suit the light conditions...great work Aires

A very original sunsrise with an unusula and creative framing. Excellent depht too nad greta prospect to a very graphic and dynamic BG. The two peoples, on the right of the image, give an interesting elemnt of life. Superb colors too.

il contrasto cromatico dei colori è di sicuro ciò che colpisce maggiormente in questa foto.
Ottimo l'inserimento della coppia che guarda verso fuori, animando la scena.
Le cabine della funivia invece danno movimento e dinamicità.

Your centring around the architecture is fantastic, both silhouettes perfectly placed. I like the graphics of bridges and the rhythm given by the vertical masts. Colors and luminosity are extraordinary also.

Walking before sunrise was very effective to you here Aires, because due to that very moment you have taken this marvellous shot. Great magical colours in horizon. Interesting POV which added a beauty here. The construction is looking lovely and give it dynamism. The silhouetted poles and those people with those trees added extra dimension to it. Very good idea to present this shot in such way.

What an awesome view ! The frame composition of this picture is like a super wide cinemascope screen ! This feeling of "being inside" is strengthened by the turquoise light on the ceiling and on the wall. The beautiful twilight sky is a spectacular show of light and colour, and like those two people, we have a ringsite seat to watch it. Just fascinating !

This is pure art!
The composition is so appealing and original that one cannot detach his eyes from it! what a architecture you have in Lisbon! I must come there! And the composition is perfect with that couple in the right position! (how lucky!)
But what amazes most is the colour contrast between the violet of the sky and the green/ligh blue of the building.
A real masterpiece!

pelos vistos o cedo erguer tambem faz bem à fotografia, pois tens aqui uma grande foto.
Este enquadramento que escolhete com a pala do Pavilhão de Portugal a "abraçar" um lado e topo da foto cai aqui que nem uma luva.
Depois aquela sucessão de verticais ao fundo, e claro o "casalinho pipoca" :) que lhe dá o toque humano imprescindivel.
