Photographer’s Note

Following the mini-series now we follow thru one of the streets that were leaving from that little square I shown on the previous photo.
The streets get tinyer the sun only breaks thru some parts as the buildings are kind of high for the width of the streets, but enough to create this atmosphere.
In the background, a woman watching the passers go by, fado signs among the walls are easy to find here in Alfama, in almost every street a restaurant with faco actings at night, advert's for a fado session all over the walls.
Alfama is like this, a neighbourhood that loves its tradition and seems not wanting to change ever - i hope it keeps like this, traditional.
