Photographer’s Note

Do you remember The Haunted tree?
As I said before, there was not many people on this Park. Of course that the few ones that were here were 'hunted' by photographers hunger for people.

This one attracted me especially by the way he seems to be enjoying the heat of the sun on his face - I totally saw myself in that bench doing the same. This is the best season for this 'sport', when it's not too hot or too cold. Lately I've done the same in my balcony, many times - after a few minutes having this warm sun on your face, you feel like being in another dimension.

simple subjects always work...like here, just a sitting man, enjoying the sun but hey, look around how many interesting things are going on...shadows, protective tree, the bench...simple yet full of interesting details to enjoy...

yes I remember well. It is obvious, how much he is enjoying the sun. Together with this nice shadow and light contrast it makes your capture warm, full of life. The colours supoort that and the framing is good.

Here, I like the way the situation is perfectly depicted (along with your note), and the way the tree on the right and all the shadows of branches really add complexity and poetry to the scene....

Epá, esta era a próxima que eu ía postar! :))))) Tou a brincar... A minha tem o tronco da árvore a fazer de moldura. Realmente é engraçado ver como somos diferentes. O facto de eu usar um zoom curto e tu um longo também ajuda. Está está excelente. A luz é boa, a composição também e o momento ainda melhor. Afinal, são os momentos que fazem as fotos. Linda!

You are lucky where you live; we're still wearing winter coats and have just had 3 days of fog and drizzle. Oh for sun on my face. Those lovely shadows are in evidence again and add an extra element to the scene. He does seem to be transported. I like the creative framing in the WS too, but it would have been better if he still had this enrapt expression.

It must be great to sit there enjoying the warmth of the sunbeams in your face. You placed the man and the bench very well in the composition together with the tree at the right hand side. These shadows on the wall are again lovely too, look really great! Well captured and thanks for sharing!

The more talented and versatile photographers on TE - alas, I am not one - are able to capture the moment with shots such as this. The superb light and shadow effects combine with the enjoyment of watching this man bathed in early spring sunshine, just soaking in the rays. You have nicely positioned him off centre and the shot is crisp and clear. A very fine capture, Ricardo. Cheers.

O tipo chegou a cair, ou estava só a bronzear a careca na altura que tiráste a foto do WS? Estão ambas lindas. A principal tem um aspecto fantástico. Todas aquelas sombras criam um ambiente fantasmagórico excelente e o senhor na posição em que está e com os olhos fechados parece absolutamente absorto pelos seus pensamentos.

Yes, I do remember the 'haunted tree' and I have to say that I like this one, because we can see well the expression of the man enjoying sunlight. The shadows of the branches create a nice pattern on the wall and there is a great luminosity. The photo in WS is quite funny, because he looks like he wants to get a sun tan on his bald head, or maybe he fell asleep :)

i of course remember The Haunted Tree that you you have posted prior. tell me, this gentleman has been haunted or hunted to be fotoed? it seems that he is meditating, ah.
clear and sharp that i see his watchstrap is pink...:-)
the scattered shadows give an interesting feel to the image.

Gosto do retrato. As sombras fazem um belo fundo.
Já agora, uma crítica negativa: essa espécie de barra cinzenta na parte de baixo e o ligeiro corte do pé. E para ser completamente picuinhas: vejo uns pixels avermelhados na margem esquerda da imagem que não sei o que estão lá a fazer

bom este retrato, com as galhadas e suas sombras a fazerem moldura ao redor do modelo. muito boa a luz e o enquadramento.
só escrevo agoa pois quando estava a escrever antes uma tempestade de verão Põs abaixo a energia elétrica e em segundos regressou mas estava com medo dos raios. se ainda leres esta nota, saibas que desejo a vocês uma boa viagem e que o tempo seja magnífico e tudo lhes corra bem
