Alva in Autumn Photo

Photographer’s Note

Alva River is born at the SW of the Estrela mountain range and debouch 50 Km further at the Mondego river.
The water is clear and the rivers flows quietly, the mood is very peacefull when being at the shoreline.
I can´t remember the name of this place but is somewhere at the road that goes from Ponte das Três Entradas to Sandomil, this road is a great trip because most of the part is along the river.

A fantastic shot with a great composition. Closing the aperture was the right way to go here since it allows everything in the pic to stay sharp. The colors are amazing.

Bom dia Daniel, lindíssimo equilíbrio de cores neste enquadramento vertical. Este 1º plano tem uma excelente nitidez e luminosidade, levando-nos a gatinhar pela margem fora, cheirar todos os cheiros qual gato ou cão a disfrutar dos prazeres da natureza. O amarelo lá atrás acaba por ser a cor mais atraente e está muito bem colocada na composição. Muito bonita.

I think you caught here what must be the essence of the
place - a place that every nature-lover wouldn't miss if
passing by or in vicinity.
You really did a great job composing this one carefully,
and the result is fantastic! Great light, use of polariser
to enhance greens, yellows and blue... very balanced shot
in every way!
