Le moulin d'Odiaxere, a photo from Algarve, Sud

Photographer's Note

Comme la plupart des villages de l'Algarve , Odiaxere possède son moulin à vent . Même s'ils ne servent plus depuis longtemps , ils restent des témoignages de la vie rurale passée .
Situé au nord de la localité , une place moderne a été aménagée autour de l'édifice . Aussi il n'est pas toujours facile de trouver le meilleur point de vue . Retournant le voir en attendant l'ouverture d'une boutique , j'ai eu la chance qu'un beau rayon de soleil matinal vienne l'éclairer quelques instants .

Hello Denis - outstanding shot which illustrates so well how light can make a photograph. The dark, brooding sky makes a dramatic dark BG for the warmly lit mill and buildings. ça, ce sont des lumières que j'adore et un ciel que je vénère. Le contraste entre ce moulin frappé par le soleil bas et ce ciel dantesque, c'est fantastique.

very nice the presentation of this native windmill with the fallen light on its façade to contrast perfect with the heavy grey sky on the backdrop.I like the excellent placement of the mill in the frame with the clarity to be superb.

Le contraste est superbe entre les murs blancs de ce moulin à vent et le ciel menaçant, en arrière-plan ! Heureusement que la boutique a ouvert plus tard que prévu, sans cela tu n'aurais pas bénéficié de cette éclaircie providentielle...

Les moulins portugais sont de toute beauté avec leurs ailes si caractéristiques. Tu as choisi une exposition judicieuse qui donne une superbe lumière sur l'architecture blanche, en contraste avec un ciel si sombre. Les couleurs et la netteté sont excellentes. Bravo.

Salut Denis,
Excellente prise de vue sous un ciel orageux. Il à dû sûrement avoir un trou dans les nuage pour procurer ce bel éclairage. Le moulin à vent est bien mis en valeur devant ce ciel foncé. Une photo splendide, parfaitement composée et un beau contraste de couleurs. Je croyais à un éclairage de soir mais ta note m'indique une photo matinale.

je trouve le ciel un peu bruité, mais alors, quelle belle lumière et quelles belles couleurs!Le moulin resplendit devant le ciel sombre, et j'aime les grandes ombres sur le sol.Superbe!

It is the light which makes this picture so special - the low early morning light illuminating the windmill beautifully against a dark sky.

The colours are wonderfully well saturated, the exposure perfect and the details and sharpness superb.
