The village of Caminha is located an area of great beauty near the mouth of the River Minho, in the extreme northwest of the Portuguese territory - Due to the geographical situation, Caminha was an advanced point in the Portuguese military strategy in the struggle against Castilians and Leoneses, and also fundamental in the control of the commerce of the metals that had to cross the waters of the River Minho - The perimeter and the oval configuration of the old wall obey the construction characteristics of the Roman fortresses of the centuries - Video on youtube:
