Lisboa - Dakar 2006 Photo

Photographer’s Note

After leaving Lisbon the rally traveled through Southern Portugal and Spain before crossing the Mediterranean Sea, to Morocco. From there, the caravan headed for Dakar after going through Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, and Senegal.

The rally departed Lisbon on December 31st, 2005 and will do the same for two more years, 2007 and 2008.

For the photo, it was taken the day before departure and I only cropped and applied some sharpening to it.

Hi Antonio, looks like we both had our eyes on cars today. Sounds like this race would be amazing to see up close and in person. Nice focus on the headlights here, drawing us in with the colorful stripes of color.

Não é um tema que me agrade particularmente, mas como foto está muito bem conseguida. Se incluísse a palavra "Lisboa" na frente, talvez ficasse mais interessante.
Sugiro a correcção da nota: ou o rali partiu em 2005, ou partirá em 2006.

Hey Antonio,
Incredible sharp image with nice detail and colors. I think that it is a BMW X3? I like rallyeing a lot because its driving in its purest way. What I dont like is the consequences it has for nature...
That doesn't change the fact that this is a nice shot...
