L'abbazia di Batalha è un capolavoro dell'architettura gotica portoghese: fu edificata tra il XIV e il XV secolo nella regione dell'Estremadura, per celebrare la vittoria di Joao I ad Ajubarrota contro l'esercito castigliano. Il chiostro, decorato dagli archi gotici di Alfonso Domingues e David Huguet, è di grande bellezza. La fontana è della metà del XV secolo.

I guess it is not easy to shoot this picture with this frontal light condition and still have a great balanced of lighting.I must say its a great caught.molto bene!
