Photographer’s Note

The Monastry of Suzana is one of the typical orthodox monastries in Romania, that still attract many young people to spend their lives there. And funds for renovation, or even for building a new one. That´s quite amazing - while the huge and once proud catholic monastries in Western Europe are deserted and have enormous troubles to find young women and men willing to become nuns and monks, in the East one new monastry after the other is being founded just to cope with the huge number of young people wanting to join them.
So much more spirituality around here.

Hallo Johannes
The framing idea is interesting and would possibly work better on tripod with small aperture, but the important rebuild works going on make the vignette actually more interesting as the actual photo
