(continued from women are from venus)
The problems between men and women can finally be solved by first understanding why men offer solutions and why women seek to improve. Let’s pretend to go back in time and observ Mars and Venus before the planets discovered one another and martians and venutians came to Earth. We can gain some insights into men and women.
Martians value power, competency, efficiency and achievements. Their sense of self is defined to their ability to achieve results. They experience fulfillment primarely through success and accomplishments. Achieving goals is very important to a Martian because it’s the way for him to prove his competence and makes him good about himself. And to feel good about himself he must achieve these goals alone, by himself.
Authonomy is a symbol of efficiency, power and competency. Understanding this martian characteristic can help women to understand why men resist so much being corrected and being told what to do.
To offer a men unsolicited advice is to presume that he doesn’t know what to do or that he can’t do it on his own. Men are very touchy about this because the issue of competence is so very important to them.
Because he’s handling his problems on his own, a martian rarely talks about his problems, unless he needs expert advice. Asking for help when you can do it yourself is perceived as a sign of weakness. However, if he truly does need help then it’s a sign of wisdom to get it. In this case, he’ll find someone he respects and then talk about his problems.
Talking about problems on Mars is an invitation for advice. Another martian feels honored by the opportunity. Automatically he puts on his Mr. “Fix It” hat listens for a few beats and then offers some jewels of advice.

Hi Teodora,
Approach of understanding the difference of men and women is really admirable and your note is a satisfactory explanation of Martian approach :))) I am not still sure about where men are from but I definitely agree we are not coming from same worlds :)
About photo, it really supports the subject, three men they all look self confident, I like how you placed them to the corner, and left the remaning with pure ever blue sky.
Nice share, congrats,
Burcu
the whole attractiveness of this photo comes from its composition - simple yet very firm...
predominant role of the sky is also very strong feature of this image...
best, j.
Is it lonely at the top...men always on top? ;-)
If there was ever a picture that needed a note to explain than it is this one, and because of that note we understand the picture and those three men. Looking at us, at you, from above...isolated from the rest of the world, typical men. Or are they waiting, waiting from something from Venus?
Just saw you got two of these, i prefer this one, the other man is too lonely, here they stand together, as real man do? ;-)
It's the note what makes the picture interesting...highly interesting.
Henk
So good and at the same time so funny, Dora. I envy you by your skills with the words. This is one of those images that I would never think of posting, even if the compo is interesting and the sky attractive. But with this note, it becomes a very good picture. I have no idea what those 3 guys are doing there, but they sure are in control of the situation judging by their poses. Well, the guy in the middle is a bit worried but I can see he still has the 'martian' confidence. It would be funny to see this same version with women ;-)
Anyway, very interesting series and very well presented picture here. If I had your imagination I would have thousands of pictures to post :))))))
