People in Maramures. This is a wonderful subject for photographers. In the small town Botiza I saw the weaver at work. She wove a tapestry of the old wooden church of the village. Such carpets are selling best.
Botiza is on the edge of the Carpathians, a good starting point for day trips of all kinds The accommodations are inexpensive and good. And the food is top notch.

a marvellous POV gives us an unusual insight into the weavers work.
Happy in her work, surrounded by balls of wool, you can almost hear the clack of the frames and feel the carpet being produced.
You have given us a picture of great clarity and involvement - good job !

Hello Wolfgang - Traditional crafts and craftsmen make interesting subjects. Here your framing of the woman's face, looking up at her through the loom and wools is good and I like the fact that we can see the warp and weft of her work. Warm regards Rosemary

Great PoV and framing. Nice pensive expression caught, which is impressive as I'm sure she knew you were taking her photograph.

Researched POV to get this lady portrait at work. Modify your note: it's a color picture and not a B&W one (I feel my goggles are correct!!)

The woman working the traditional loom has a lovely, saintly face. You chose a very good angle to catch her at work, concentrating on her work, but probably more on daily concerns. The ball of yarn is placed perfectly, and reveals excellent detail. This is a first rate shot of everyday life.

A beautiful portrait of this happy weaver. She must be enjoying her work as I see all smiles on her face. You have presented all the details showing the colored yarns, the wooden machine and the weaver.I like the atmosphere, colors and sharpness.

The framing of the old weaver has been well done. Its the same old type of weaving tools which are used in some parts of India & some pictures of which I have posted here as well. The focus is spot on, right on her face. Well done!

Beautiful portraits of elderly women in carpet weaving.
Eastern European countries are much like our east.
