Photographer's Note

Horses in the wild in the mountains of Romania. The horses have a territory, and they do not leave. Even pigs run free around here. In these areas, even shepherds and farmers, with their dogs. Life in the mountains is traditionally and without comfort.

Traditionnaly and without comfort , but may be shepperd enjoy summertime to be there in the mountains . In any case , that provides superb picturesque scenes , like this one .

Hi Wolfgang,

at first glance your picture made me think about Mongolia, horses, green expanses, endless blue skies, instead i'm surprised to discover that it is something much closer.Bucolic photo with beautiful natural colours, i'd have liked it more with just a little more "broad" composition, but even so it's very beautiful.

The haystacks look quite unusual nowadays when we are getting used to hay white plastic packings... The horse also adds to the feeling of a different era. A simple but still very beautiful composition.

It seems that everything is at its place in this composition, with the horse perfectly place in the scene, both to fill the gap and to bring depth as a stunning foreground element.

This is an uncommon scene for me, with these haystacks that looks like exotic huts and this particular breed of horse. Very interesting!

ein sehr schön komponiertes Bild aus dem wilden Sibiu, das durch seine natürlichen Farben besticht. Aber ganz groß geschrieben wird hier Atmosphäre. Es ist ein sehr stimmungsvoller Eindruck aus einer bei uns längst vergessenen Zeit. Kompliment!
