Photographer’s Note
Piata Unirii is Timisoara's largest square. The traffic-free square is lined with a colorful calleidoscope of yellow, red, blue and green buildings and is a place of popular events and major celebrations. The sumptuous Roman Catholic Cathedral was built in 1754 to the design of Austrian architect Fischer von Erlach and is a typical example of Viennese Barocque.
