Photographer’s Note

La nuit, la lumière ruissèle sur les pavés de la vieille citadelle.
Les ruelles coulent sous l’imposante fortification.
On imagine les cris des suppliciés.
Dracula est chez lui.
Il nous regarde.

Mais on y croise que des trekeurs.
Avec leurs ombres auréolées.

Premier souvenir d’un magnifique meeting.
Merci Isabela, merci Johanes, merci à tous.
En suis rentré en France vraiment heureux.

The night, the light streams on the paving stones of the old citadel.
The lanes run under the imposing fortification.
One imagine the cries of the tortured victims.
Dracula is at his place.
He looks at us.

But one crosses there only trekers.
With their haloed shades.

First memory of a splendid meeting.
Thank you Isabela, thank you Johanes, thank you all. In returned to France very happy.

Bonjour Bertrand,

There's more than the pov that makes this shot a succesful one. I like the night colours too, especially the lights at the entrance, which provide a kind of halo to the person on the right. The other one is barely visible and doesn't contribute to the composition.

c'est une belle image ceci...avec une superbe perspective qui courre du pavé jusqu'au chateau...en marquant la silhoutte de l'homme ci dessous.
j'ai connu aussi les amis roumaines de TE...ils sont vraiment des gens aimable!

Wow, what a shot, Bertrand!
There are so many interesting elements. Wonderful lighting, so many great lines and angles, the silhouette in the arch beneath the light, the cobblestones leading the eye in. The sharpness is superb considering it's a night shot. That is just outstanding! Many thanks and warmest regards,

Superbe résultat avec cette belle capture de la lumière et ces reflets dorés sur les pavés, la silhouette anime la vue et elle est bien placée sur fond de porche ... j'imagine que les rencontres lors de ce meeting en Roumanie ont été conviviales.

Your low POV works very well, not only to emphasise the cobbled street, but it also places the silhouette within the arch. Well exposed night shot!

fisrt of all an excellent night shot. The exposure is great. I see many details of the illuminated area and there are such interesting silhouettes to observe. The low pov works pretty well as it leads us to the point of interest. Great one!

Bonjour Bertrand. Very innovative POV that brings light to the ground level and defines the cobbles.The contours add depth and lead the eye to the gateway and the figure in silhouette. Wonderful exposure where even the more distant clock tower is sharply defined. Amicalement. Klaudio.

Excellent framing, light-shadows play and atmosphere. I like the low POV and the mysterious black silhouettes (I wonder who they were). Imaginative note (comme d'habitude...).
I hope that we shall see you again in Romania-there are a lot of other interesting, picturesque places to visit.

Hello Bertrand,

Voilà qui donne envie d'une petite séance photo de nuit.
En voyant la vignette on aurait dit que la lumière jaillissait du portique. Les reflets sur les pavés sont une belle source de lumière dans le bas de l'image.

Bonjour, Bertrand. Une image dans laquelle tu réussis à recréer une ambiance particulière. Une très bonne construction avec ces pavés qui mènent vers le château et les silhouettes des trekkers qui restent énigmatiques. Excellent contraste entre avant- et arrière-plan.

Cette composition nocturne est vraiment très réussie. Sacrée ambiance que ton POV au ras du sol et la présence de la silhouette en plein dans le porche ont contribué à créer. Très belle photo!

Bonjour Bertrand,
Quelle image ! Le point de vue original, ras du sol en contre-plongée, apporte de la profondeur en suivant les lignes des pavés et rend la porte de la ville encore plus écrasante de grandeur. L'ambiance lumineuse est très réussie, avec l'ombre inquiétante de ce photographe qui semble nous observer.

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue très bas qui fait ressortir les pavés et conduit le regard vers cette silhouette isolée .Ambiance un rien mystérieuse avec de magnifiques couleurs .
