Dealu Frumos, mai demult Şulumberg, Şulemberg, (în dialectul săsesc Schinebärch, în germană Schönberg),a fost menţionată întâia dată într-un act de vânzare-cumpărare din anul 1280.
The Schönberg Romanesque church dates at least since 1280, when it was first mentioned in documents.Since 2003, the fortress of the Evangelical-Lutheran church of Dealu Frumos has been cared for by the Ion Mincu University of Architecture, Bucharest.
