I like your current series where you seem to have come heavily down on colours are focussing on people and ambiance and the art of telling documentary tales using your camera. lovely style indeed.

Hi Horatiu,
This shot really inspires...
For this day, it has a meaning too... It's the International women's day.. and as you mention in notes, an image of a woman's taste !!
EXCELLENT CATCH.
Good choice of B/W.

Bonjour, Horatiu.
Je suis réellement impressionnée par celle-ci.
Le fil à linge cachant les yeux du garçon dérange mais intrigue en même temps.
Une scène de la vie quotidienne rare.
Amitiés, Grazyna.

Hi Horatiu
The diagoanal axis adds a nice touch of dynamism, in this superb b&w image. Nice symmetry, between the kitten & the boy. Good sharpness & tonal range. Tfs!

Hello Horatiu,
A more optimistic image than some of your recent postings. The little boy and his cat both lost in their thoughts; a portrait full of charm. Superb black and white conversion with a lovely tonal range and excellent clarity.
My dearest H,
I do not like cats...I love them! :D This is such a charming capture. It is absolutely beautiful! This boy with thinking epresions, looking quite mature and already with an earing in his ear :) and such a cute little cat, worshiping him with her look....absolutely adorable. Two priceless expressions of thousand words. I do not mind wires, somehow they go in the second plan because the look of boy is so powerful. Excellent my dear H. Excellent! And of course: Thank you! :))
Kisses and hugs,
Jeri

Hello Horatiu
While many may say that the wires spoiling the scene, can not always be better. The portrait are very well made, the black and white treatment is excellent, and the attitude of the players, are significant. Great sharpness and good balance in the frame.

really pitty for those cables but you deserve good words here, anyway...
for the idea, for noticing the simmple things in life that often must stand for a big joy for many - cats and in-window-sitting...
bw, j.
(i hate those cables, you could have stepped back so that the boy's eyes could be visible)
This is one hell of a good photo, spoiled with hells of ropes!!!
I made a workshop for you Horatiu.
Gosh! It was the most difficult WS i've ever made. But be sure, this one deserves it all.
Cheers,
Deniz

Hi Horatiu,
I adore cats...like Jeri...:-) and spend lots of time with mine...
I am impressed by what comes out here, of course Rigoletto's work gives the final touch by removing those cables...but already the composition full of emotion, cramped lives in this district, still with these bits of tenderness, of bonding make for a great picture. The way the cat is positioned with his paws to the outside, looking with love at this boy, who in turn looks at you, so naturally. Great b/w, well mastered, less noise, it looks very good. My compliments, dear Horatiu.!
Have a great evening and Sunday

Hello Horatiu,
Oh I wish I was fully able to say what an excellent photo it is! One of those photos that are so close to be really, really good! But... yes. I have a problem. For me, it is not that much the fact that there is a clothesline. No. My problem is that it passes just in front of his eyes! Oh how much I wish you had the reflex to step back or to lean a bit or whatever the move you had to make to have his eyes. Because the scene itself is spot on with the cat looking with what look like so much love and tenderness towards him.
A very beautiful black & white conversion, by the way.
Ah... so close! Oh do I know the feeling! :)

i like what deniz did but i like this shot also with the strings and that clip hanginig... and in fact i like the way the string crosses his eyes... may be a sigh showing about the hard life she (or he) has... the best part is the way the cat looks at the chid i think... good job as always horatiu...
all the best...

Hi Horatiu
A very good B/W capture with a great title and very good saturation. Even the diagonal wire plays its role well

Although I appreciate what Deniz did (it must have been a very hard thing to erase all those cables), I like it this way better. The cables add a lot to the scene, making the kid a little inmate in his own house. I also like the heavy grey tones.
congrats

You've managed to evoke quite a controversy, dear Horatiu...
(:-))))
What my two cents about the whole affair...
Mixed feelings...
If not the clotheslines - it would be an extraordinary photo, with all the bells and whistls - included.
The clotheslines...???
Thru the center of the face... The eyes...
Step closer, step further, slight tweak of the camera...?
Eh, Horatiu... Horatiu...
For that boy up there, and his cat... full smily
Nothing for you

Hi Horatiu, i do love that one, the little cat makes the picture here. He seems so sweet and want so much tender and love ...
Dark BW, texture is unbelievable and strong impact on my eyes.
I would have loved the line not crossing the eyes of this child.
Excellent

After I saw your latest photograph in gallery, I wondered about your other photos and make a tour in your gallery. Each of them are wonderful on their own. I feel a desire to write something. The reason I chose this one is the child, I like children photos, they have different expressions, each of which are clear and honest.
I would prefer that cables are not there, but this is a great shot with or without them.

Burcu

Hello Dear
Congrt for this great shot, The moment you capture is really very good, kid's face and expression is really nice with cat. The cables is distracting this picture but anyway that is also part of this picture.
Good shot
regards
rajiv
I do sign myself under Rigoletto's critique and WS.
And have to admit the photo is great in spite of that dreadful rope. And at the same time can't imagine the position of the rope to make it acceptable. Strange thing...

Hello Horatiu,
I have always been a cat lover. When I was a boy I had two cats; a black and white female cat named "Lady" and her daughter (a mutt) named "Theo". I can relate with this girl's love for her cat very well! My wife and I have two spoiled black cats today. I have read your bio and from seeing your very unusual style I can tell that you were heavily influenced by a much earlier generation of B&W photographers and I am quite sure that you were influenced by early B&W movies also. You and I are at opposite ends of photography (me with my saturated colors) but I like your style and your individualism. This is a very striking and creative photograph! I find the wide variety of photographic styles on TE to be very interesting!

Hi Horatiu!
Really a tender photo and a good daily scene. It's funny that the child is looking at you and the cat iis looking at the child. The composition is perfect, even with the ropes. B&W was a good choice, I like it.
