Hi Anellise,
What a mood! what an atmosphere. The ambient lighting from the lamp above is simply fantastic and the sepiarish colouring adds to everything. Textured details like the cobbles and crumbling walls are splendid and of course the person and their shadow adds good life to this eerie looking place.

I like the curve drawn on the ground slowly leading the view under the first arch to the second.
light and exposure are good also, and even if at /5.6 and 1600 iso, it is well defined, well done!

What is that attitude Anelise?

Your older sister have to force you doing photography? She has to insist and try to convince you that it worth the effort to scout for superb location?!!! Then I should offer you one point and another one to your sister on this one, as it is a collaborative effort... :-P)

You surely don't regret your move because the result is impressively beautiful. These walls and stones have what it takes to transport us in another time. That's it; your photo is a time machine...

The light offers the enigmatic mood that is the strongest quality of your image. An atmosphere that is easy to be drawn into, trying to imagine the stories that took place under this arch.

Watch your back little sister, someone's coming... Booohh!

Annellise,
a nice reflection in your note to go along with this quite enigmatic image. The composition seems to be simple and yet great. Extremely well balanced light management with out any signs of overexposure on the light source or too dark shadows behind the arch. Your PP gave a nice hue that enahnces the atmosphere of suspense.
