Photographer’s Note
2nd Tower (Cesta Fortress) on the slopes of Monte Titano dated back to the 13th century.
San Marino is Europe's oldest republic founded by St. Marinus in the 4th century monk. He was forced to flee because of the religious presecution of the Emperor Diocletian.

Hello Achim,
A fine composition with very good point of view. The path along the top of the walls leads the eyes inexorably towards the tower. Light, colours and clarity are all very good. Well done.

Hi, Achim. The path is a god lead into the photograph pointing to the tower in the background. This last one stands well out against the sky. The vegetation adds contrast with the grey stones.
Have a nice day,
Philippe

Hi Achim,
The curve line made by the fortification is an asset to the composition. The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The trees are a natural frame to the fortification and the tower. The good light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Achim,
Looking from this pov seem not easy by walk to reach the the castle at oppesite, beautiful old architectures built with stone, good pov to include resident houses at the foot of mountain, thanks for sharing.

Hallo Achim,
It's almost tiresome to look at our gallery, as you keep jumping around the world. :D Cambodia, Dominica, now San Marino. I like that!
The overcast weather didn't stop you from getting a great photo. The place is wonderful, it's like they have built the fortress to protect the beautiful forest. The POV you chose allowed you taking profit of the zigzagging lines that produce a great sense of depth and dynamism.
Regards, José.

Hallo Achim,
Gut gemacht!
Viele Grüße
Laszlo
