Manastir Studenica je manastir Srpske pravoslavne crkve koji se nalazi 39 km jugozapadno od Kraljeva, u Srbiji. On je jedan od najvećih i najbogatijih srpskih manastira.Stefan Nemanja, osnivač srednjovekovne srpske države, osnovao je manastir 1190. godine. Zidovi manastira uokviruju dve mramorne crkve: Bogorodičina crkva i Kraljeva crkva. Manastir je najpoznatiji jer posjeduje kolekciju fresaka vizantskog stila iz 13. i 14. veka.Manastir Studenica je 1986. upisan na UNESCO-vu Listu mesta svetske baštine u Evropi.

The Studenica Monastery is a monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church, located 39 km southwest of Kraljevo, Serbia. He is one of the largest and richest Serbian monasteries. Stefan Nemanja, the founder of the medieval Serbian state, founded the monastery in 1190. The walls of the monastery are framed by two marble churches: the Virgin Church and the Royal Church. The monastery is best known for having a collection of frescoes of the Byzantine style from the 13th and 14th centuries.The Studenica Monastery was registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List in Europe in 1986.

Your picture gives a beautiful overview of the monastery and its surroundings.
A clear blue sky, a nice low sun and wonderful shadows from an invisible tree on the facade, so that the contrasts are even more beautifully distributed in the photo.

beautiful church, I like also it has a little chapel companion next to it.
Captured in great light which adds some pattern of the shadows on the surface of the walls.
This is a place where I would like to have a drone to be able to photograph it from above.
