Photographer's Note

Belgrade Gate is the most monumental buildings in the Lower Town of Petrovaradin and as such was built in 1753 in classicist style. It connects to the Bastion St Ignatius bastion of St. Ernesta. The front facade has six columns, two windows and a coat of arms above the oval passage of Novi Sad. The gate is 20m deep, and it has four built, guards and two entrances to the side rooms.
