Photographer’s Note

Dans les moments les plus brouiants durant la Foire de Guča, les mots prononses ne valent pas grand chose dans la communication. La gesticulation rapporte plus. Si votre compagnon insiste differament, vous approuvez par la tete, comme si vous aviez tout compris, comme si vous parliez la meme langue et comme si vous etiez enthousiaste par sa volonte de vous transmettre quelque chose. En tant qu'experimente, vous souriez et gardez la langue. Autour de vous une gaiete, jamais vue. Si vous etes la premiere fois a Guča.

In instants most noisy during the Fair of Guča, prononced words are not worth big thing in communication. Gesticulation brings back more. If your companion insists in another way, you approve by the head, as though you understood everything, as though you are enthousiast for the fact he wants to transmit you. U najbučnijim momentima Sabora u Guči, izgovorene reči ne vrede mnogo u komuniciranju. Gestikuliranje više doprinosi. Ako vaš pratilac insistira drugačije, vi klimate glavom kao da sve razumete, kao da isti jezik govorite i kao da ste ushićeni što vam nešto objašnjava. Pri tom, iskusno ćutite i smešite se. Uokolo je inače sve veselo, prosto neviđeno. Ako ste prvi put u Guči.

Bonsoir Branko,

Quelle ambiance de fête bien captée, on s'y croirait vraiment. Des détails, des couleurs, une véritable photo reportage. Bravo.

The lighting here is exquisite, especially the shafts of light cutting through the dusty atmosphere. Even as a vegetarian I can imagine the smells and the noise and bustle. There is so much to see apart from the obvious characters in the foreground.

Bonjour Branko,

Effectivement beaucoup de mouvement et de passages sur cette photo, il ne manque plus que le brouhaha de la foule et les bonnes odeurs qui doivent s'échapper de l'étal de ce marchand. Moi qui aime la tranquilité, ce ne sont pas trop des lieux que je fréquente, mais c'est certain que pour la photo instantanée ça vaut le coup... Guča s'écrit-il aussi Gucu ? c'est ce que je vois sur le chapeau derrière !!! Bon coup d'oeil Branko.

toute ta série sur Guca est un régal pour les sens!
je ne sais d'ailleurs si là en prime des décibels il n'y a pas l'odorat en éveil, car oui par ta photo je te garantis que là notre nez et peut-être même nos papilles gustatives se sont réveillées!
Bravo pour cette ambiance festive que tu nous restitue si bien

a noisy picture, Branko, noisy and...wow, smells good, yummy! Atmosphere here is really nice, this is a subject I really like: popular fairs, there are many also in Italy and I hope to take some pics this summer in Tuscany during such events. I really like your pic, I like those small lights on the right side, so typical of such situations, and the woman asking for something to eat gesturing. Well done my friend!

Hi Branko,
looking at your photos from this fair is like participating in this event personally! I can also almost hear the sound and smell the spicy air. Most of all I like the interaction between these two persons. Excellent photo work!
