Photographer’s Note

Là ou le Danube et la Rivière de Brnjica s’embrassent il y a un tout petit village. Grace à sa position géographique et à ses habitants doux et gentils, il a sauve la paix séculaire et les valeurs que les générations courageuses et hospitalières ont soigneusement cultivé. Pas une armée n’y est passée, rien n’est construit en vitesse. Ses habitants n’avaient pas plus grand désir que de vivre modestement autour da la petite maison et dans les prés. On se lève tôt pour dire bonjour aux vaches et on a la longue journée pour controller la discipline des oiseaux. Il y en a plein. Et si quelqu’un passe par la vallée, curieux et avec un sourire, il est reçu à bras ouverts dans la cour, dans la maison et dans les coeurs. C’est ce qui m’est arrivé dans la famille Karapandžić.

Where Danube and the River of Brnjica embrace each other there is a very small village. Thanks to his geographical position and to his soft and nice inhabitants, he saved ancient peace and values which the audacious and hospital generations have carefully cultivated. No army is crossed there, nothing is quickly constructed. His inhabitants did not have bigger wish than to live modestly in the little house and in meadows around. They get up for early to greet cows and they have the discipline of birds the long day as controller. There is full. And if somebody passes by the valley, curious and with a smile, he is accepted hands opened in the courtyard, in the home and in hearts. It is what arrived in the family Karapandžić at me.

Na mestu gde se grle Brnjička reka i Dunav je maleno selo Brnjica. Ono je, zahvaljujući geografskom položaju i vrednim i pitomim stanovnicima očuvalo vekovni mir i vrednosti koje su generacije negovale. Ni jedna vojska tu nije prošla, ništa se u kraju nije na brzinu napravilo. Njeni žitelji nisu imali veće želje od skoromnog života oko okućnice i u polju. Rano ustaju da pozdrave stoku i marvu i čitav dan imaju da nadziru disciplinu ptica. Kojih ima itekako. A ako neko nabasa dolinom, radoznao i sa osmehom, on je rado primljen i u dvorištu i u kući i u srcima. To je moje iskustvo u zabačenoj kući Karapandžića.

Bonjour, mon ami Branko,
Que j'aime cette image où tout invite à la détente, au repos, et à la quiétude.
La présence du chaton est un plus dans la composition.
J'aime beaucoup le jeu de lumière (ombre et lumière).
Une bien agréable composition.

This is a great shot using the path to lead the eye through the shot. The pumpkins and cat add many points of interest in the scene. The shadowed lighting gives us nice colors and good detail.

I waited this your repost, not only for the precious presence of the cat, :-) but also for the pleasant testimony of rural life, far away compared to daily life in the city. From your nice notes we can understand your love for the simple life and the old values of life, the most important. Thanks fratello, for having once shared with us this beautiful picture.

tout est paisible dans cette photo l'arche des arbres avec leur ombrage qui nous invite à vivre simplement et calmement comme ce chaton pas affolé par l'étranger qui le regarde (à travaers un drôle d'oeil noir qui plus est); ça sent bon la campagne, le terroir et "l'authentique" comme ils aiment dire à présent les citadins qui osent sortir des sentiers battus...
ça sent bon la vie simple... et même la menthe pour une petite infusion les soirs ou pour la salade (dans l'angle en bas à droite!)
j'aime ce cadrage et l'ambiance général de cette photo... tout y semble si simple mais c'et simplement car tout y est paisible ☺

I guess this picture was a little difficult due to the light condition, but you've captured it perfectly! Sharpness is excellent, and I like the detail of the cat in the path and the pumpkins in the composition! Beautiful job!

Bonjour Branko,
C'est une très belle photo. Je ne comprends pas comment je n'ai pas pu la voir plus tôt. Tout y est bien en place dans cette composition à commencer par le chat. Les potirons soulignent la perspective qui va vers la lumière. Excellent avec le jeu de la lumière et des couleurs !
