Photographer’s Note

Je lis mon dernier journal et je donne la derniere croute a mon chien. Tandis que la desesperante maison n'exige deja rien. En face du noir, je lis sur la vie des autres. Pour passer le temps. Et m'encourage, quand meme, qu'encore une lumiere cachee ne se cache pas autant.

I am reading my last newspaper and I give the last bred to my dog. While the hopeless home doesn't ask anymore. In front of the black, I am reading about the life of others. To spend the time. And encourage myself, after all, that another hidden light does not hide so much.

Čitam poslednju novinu i odvajam još ovu koricu za kucova. Kuća je inače još tu i odavno ne traži bilo šta za sebe. Naspram mrklog mraka, čitam o životu drugih. Da prođe vreme. I ko zna, možda dočekam kakav zračak koji se nevešto krije.

J'aime cette photo qui retrace la vie quotidienne d'où émane une sérénité toute particulière, malgré la misère que l'on devine.

Hello Branko, This is a very somber scene that the viewer can read many impressions from the picture. You have captured the state of the structure very well and it reflects poverty for whoever might live there. Good color and well composed. The individual and the dog portend perhaps a sense of hopelessnees. You have used your camera to portray a bit of this. Regards, Roger

Bonsoir Branko,
J'aime cette photo qui retrace la vie simple des gens pauvres. Si sa maison est presqu'en ruine, il a au moins un fidèle ami, son chien, et pour lui, comme pour beaucoup de gens, c'est toute la fortune du monde.
J'ai trouvé la semaine dernière à Rennes, une toile de tente d'un SDF, plantée juste devant un magnifique oratoire. Il avait choisi un joli endroit. Je la publierais peut-être.

Salut Branko,
Je l'aime beaucoup cette photo, tout comme la note. Cette une photo avec un message que l'on pourra interpréter chacun pour soi selon son humeur et ses dispositions.
Techniquement cette une photo extrèmement bien réussie, presque une sépia, qui accompagne fort bien ta note. T'es un grand photographe Branko.

Bonjour Branko,
Le contraste lumineux est intéressant. L'homme âgé lit d'une manière désabusée les dernières nouvelles du Monde, avant peut-être de sombrer dans l'obscurité qui l'attire inexorablement. Le Chien a un oeil sur son maître, sur la santé de qui il veille, car c'est le seul qui puisse lui donner sa pitance. Belle image animale, humaine, poétique. Bravo.

The man and his dog seem to be quite contented with their situation. Perhaps not a sign of resignation, but instead, acceptance of things one cannot change anyway?

en regardant ton dernier post et celui ci, j ai eu une légère préférence pour 'en face du noir' ...tout d'abord la note qui accompagne la photo, ensuite la lumière qui illumine bien la cour et cette ancienne façade, l'homme de dos lisant son journal 'sur la vie des autres', le contraste avec l'arrière plan noir et l'avant plan bien éclairé ...

Sur un fond noir, cette maison de fortune baigne dans la lumière et le personnage avec son chien ajoute beaucoup d'intérêt à la photo. Le bel éclairage nous fait bien voir les détails de cette vieille baraque. J'aime bien les tons de sépia même si c'est une photo couleur.
