Photographer’s Note
Tagore once wrote:
"My thoughts,
Like sparks,
Ride on winged surprises"
[From Sphulinga, to the best of my recollection: the first line goes something like this:
Sphulinga taar paakhaay pelo kshanakaaler chhanda...etc]]
This little haiku has never ceased to move me. We often think and do things on a sudden impulse, like stopping to stare at the texture of a wall lit by an oblique morning sun, where the shadow plays childhood peekaboo with goblins and demons...., perhaps, as the poet writes, with a momentary dance of the creative spark rising somewhere in our mind's corner...

Hi Animesh.
A very nice composition. The leading lines are really captivating. The shadow is really good and the detail you captured in the wall excellent.
Nice shot:)

Ive been trying to capture shadows recently too, so this one is rught up my alley Animesh. Fantastic colors, the light is great, and isnt it wonderful the the most dramatic shadows are produced by the best light for photography in general? Talk about luck for us photogs.

fantastic!
i think it is worth going to a country to get just SUCH a photo,
be it slovakia, or wherever else, worth going there (in fact in a month time i'll be there too);
"impulse" is a great idea for interpretation but i think dozens different associations come to my mind, different ways of reading this image;
just wonderful,
j.

Thanks for this one, mate,

Very poetic, but also very bold and graphic with the strong triangle. And mysterious and disorienting, because we can't tell where we are, or why. A moment of beauty grabbed out of the space-time continuum. (OK, maybe that's a bit over the top. But I like the shot.) Regards, Ken.

Hi Animesh,
In opening that photo, I saw first the shadow on the wall and I immediately thought about wings of an angel. I see now that I am not the only one! So, I'll pass for originality of my thinking! ;)
The texture in the wall (like velvet), the colors (yellow or slight olive hue) are pure marvel to me. Yes, the light of the sun is very striking. But you waited (maybe not?) for that woman to pass there. I love the sun on her golden hair. And the shadow is what's make it even more perfect. I like how the shape is the exact opposite of the shape of the woman, like if they were together before and they just break free of each other. Like continents...

The same impulse forced me to open the thumbnail as the one to forced me to write down the comment...
Will I regret later on, after the sudden moment of wonder's gone...
Staring at the texture of the wall..?
Join the club, my dear friend
But for now...I share your fascination of shapes, colors, feelings - impulsively...
Thanks, Animesh...

Animesh: you've been getting around lately. Here you got a really surreal, flat, yet super colorful image. I think you Haiku fits this one well also. A really innovative, and perhaps, lucky, shot. regards, c
