Photographer’s Note
...another monument from Banska Stiavnica...
The New Castle - a national cultural monument - is a six-floor Renaissance building with four bastions (1564-1571). Originally it served as a watch tower in the anti- Turkish wars. Because of its dominant position, it was also used as the town's live clock (exact time was announced every quarter of an hour on a trumpet).
Up on a hill, overlooking the town, the castle was defensively in a brilliant strategic position.
This same position now provides you with a beautiful view of the historic town and the surrounding area.
Today, the castle houses a very interesting exposition about the Habsburg - Turkish wars.

Hi Ivana, excellent low pov and this Castle and a very nice conversion. You retained some nice details in the sky. Well done.

Ahoj Ivana, very low but also very nice POV. The fine textures of the sky well complement the stark shades and surfaces of the castle.
And again, grass, an inseparable compound of your photos - this time contributing to gentler impression of otherwise minimalistic composition.
For me it is a very inspiring photo.
S pozdravom,
Adrian

Apart from your annoying title (we can all see that it's taken from a low viewpoint...), I like this shot. The low viewpoint works well (no need to spell it out in the title!), isolating this interesting looking building against the sky. Including the grass at the bottom also works well to get rid of any distractions that might have been lurking in the background.
Yep, compositionally it works very well - I especially like the way you placed the castle in the corner, leaving plenty of sky above and in front of the building. Good stuff.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Ivana,
The POV is decisive here, so is the concept in frame.
Thoughtful, sensible, and well presented.
Fine B/W.
Enjoy !!

Hello Ivana,
Le point de vue en contre plongée donne un aspect impressionnant et imposant à ce chateau. Le traitement noir et blanc donne une allure austère à la scène.
Bien vu !

Hello Ivana,
I like this, in the toning and the low pov. It gives the castle a great dynamic in how it stands there....tall and proud.
The sky with the high clouds adds another nice interesting detail to it...very nice work.

hi Ivana,
the low point of view works really well to provide an interesting angle, the castle now looks like a building from a fairy tale, may be even a mushroom transformed into a house for smurfs :)) I also like the choice of B&W, it nicely focuses attention on the shapes and textures. very nice work, my compliments.

A really low POV and it worked out fantastic, Ivana!
I love your duotone conversion and high contrast - the
castle stands out that way and its hight is somehow
softened by that strip of grass beneath.
Great work!
